Huhuonline.com tells that the leader of the notorious Boko Haram Islamic sect, Imam Abubakar Shekau and his comrades in crime have fled the Nigeria to take refuge in Qoundere, Cameroun after the recent SinParty of violence in Kano and Bauchi states which killed over 200 people.
Although Shekau was said to have relocated to the neighbouring country few days before the Kano attacks, a dependable source who preferred to be anonymous said they took off through the guarded borders as the bombs and attacks raged.
"It was a detour plan. We create confusion by wreaking havoc in several places and also exit through other places in the heat of the confusion. Some of our commanders are currently in Qoundere, Cameroun", he confirmed.
Huhuonline.com findings have also revealed that the Federal Government through some Northern state Governors have been having secret meetings with leaders of the sect to strike a peace deal with the Nigerian government.
"The Federal Government enlisted the services of some Northern state governors to open negotiations with the sect leaders on how to put a stop to the bombing and violent activities of the group which has resulted in the killings of over three thousand Nigerians", the source said.
These clandestine negotiations between the
governors and leaders of the insurgent group, according to insider sources, are held within the country and their new abode in Cameroun.
Another source said the Boko Haram leaders may have escaped with the help of notable Nigerians including Northern governors.
However, in view of the negotiation, the dreaded
Islamist sect are said to have recoiled from their hitherto demand for an Islamic state as the sect leaders are now particular about the release of their members in various prisons across the country and the re-integration of its members into the society without any inhibition by the
authority.
