CHEVRON'S BURNING OIL RIG STOPS BURNING

After 46 days of non-stop burning, chevron confirmed on tuesday that the inferno caused by natural gas leaking from its well has stopped on its own.

The company said the natural gas that leaks at the Funiwa field outside Nigeria's coast just stop leaking on friday thereby extinguishing the fire that burns on the surface of the Atlantic ocean, chevron however had waited till tuesday before officially announcing that the ocean inferno had stopped.

The company claims there has being no pollution resulting from the inferno except the loss of marine life (fishes) due to the heat of the inferno, although many locals have countered that claim stating that they had had rashes, difficulty in breathing and gastro-intestinal problems.
